چکیده
where n is the multiplicity of identical particles within Ω in a given event and the angular brackets imply the average over the event ensemble. Besides the interparticle correlations, the ρq in general contain “trivial” contributions from lower-order densities. We, therefore, consider a sequence of cumulant coorelation functions Cq(p1, . . . , pq) which vanish whenever one of their arguments becomes statistically independent of the others:

متن کاملIntermittency and Bose-Einstein correlations
The role of Bose-Einstein correlations in a widely discussed intermittency phenomenon is reviewed. In particular, it is shown that particle correlations of different origin are better displayed when analysed as functions of appropriately chosen variables. Correspondingly, if the shape of Bose-Einstein contribution is chosen to be Gaussian in 3momentum transferred, it provides the power-like law...
متن کاملCorrelations and fluctuations in high-energy nuclear collisions.
Nucleon correlations in the target and projectile nuclei are shown to reduce significantly the fluctuations in multiple nucleon-nucleon collisions, total multiplicity and transverse energy in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, in particular for heavy projectile and target. The interplay between cross-section fluctuations, from color transparency and opacity, and nuclear correlations is calculat...
متن کاملStrong correlations between fluctuations and response in aging transport.
The correlations between the response of a random walker to an external driving field F switched on at time t_{a}, with the particle's fluctuations in the aging period (0,t_{a}) are investigated. Using the continuous time random walk and the quenched trap model, it is shown that these correlations remain finite even in the asymptotic limit t_{a}-->infinity. Linear response theory gives a relati...
متن کاملPlasma fluctuations as Markovian noise.
Noise theory is used to study the correlations of stationary Markovian fluctuations that are homogeneous and isotropic in space. The relaxation of the fluctuations is modeled by the diffusion equation. The spatial correlations of random fluctuations are modeled by the exponential decay. Based on these models, the temporal correlations of random fluctuations, such as the correlation function and...
